What this site is

Higher Ground ("this site", "we") is a football quiz game. This policy explains what information is collected when you use it.

Information stored on your device

Your best run and your cookie consent choice are stored locally in your browser (using localStorage). This data never leaves your device, is not sent to us, and is not linked to you personally. Clearing your browser data will reset it.

Cookies, analytics and ads

We do not load any analytics or advertising scripts until you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you decline, none of the below apply to your visit.

If you accept, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how many people visit and how they use the site — for example, which pages are viewed and roughly how long people spend playing. Google Analytics uses cookies and may share data with Google as described in Google's own privacy policy. We don't currently run any advertising; if that changes, this section will be updated to name whichever ad network we use.

Data we do not collect

We don't require accounts, logins, or any personal information to play. We don't sell any data to third parties.

Third-party data sources

The football statistics used in this game are sourced from the Fjelstul English Football Database, englishfootballleaguetables.co.uk, and the Football Club History Database. This is separate from any personal data handling described above.
